Technical data

  • Nominal impedance: 4 Ohm
  • Crossover frequencies: 2050Hz LR4 / 220Hz LR2
  • Sensitivity (2,83V/1m): 85,5 dB
  • Maximum SPL (free field / 35-40000Hz): 102dB / m
  • Principle: 3 ways, d'appolito, bass reflex or closed
  • Dimensions (HxWxD): 1265x230x388mm
  • Net volume woofers: 2x30l
  • Frequency range (-3dB):
    • 34-40000Hz (bass reflex)
    • 45-40000Hz (closed)

  • Ambitious stereo applications in medium and larger rooms
  • As Main loudspeaker in the home cinema
  • ... extended with DXT-Mon as center / rear / surround

  • extremely transparent and precise reproduction
  • very convincing presentation of even the deepest notes
  • outstanding even, horizontal dispersion
  • intensive spatial representation even in acoustically not optimized rooms by reducing floor and ceiling reflections (=> d´appolito arrangement)
  • very low harmonic and nonlinear distortions
  • flexible as a bass reflex, closed or a mixed form of both. Thus also in difficult conditions applicable.

Wavecor WF182BD10

Hobby Hifi 03 / 2014

These drivers (Note: WF182BD09 and WF182BD10) offer outstanding value for money. For audiophile and living room-friendly two-way floor boxes, they are simply perfect.

Wavecor WF152BD06

Klang & Ton 02 / 2013

In this as in all other respects, the new driver is perfect: even at 95 decibel the driver has almost no distortions, has almost no resonance up to almost 10 kilohertz and shows a perfectly balanced frequency response ... The processing is Waveor-typical excellent - they only have the best materials installed.

  1. I am interested in DXT Wave but I see that you have DXT Wave XL coming up. Can you share basic details of that kit? What are the drivers (or make of the drivers), Size of the speaker or frequency range that would help me wait for the new one instead of jumping the gun on DXT Wave?
