Wavecor TW022WA06 sound pressure & impedance (dispersion) |
Very good linearity with a slight increase from 2 to 7kHz, which can be easily equalized with the crossover and / or a clever arrangement on the baffle. From 15kHz slightly decreasing amplitude response. Full level from 1kHz, with an average efficiency of 91dB / 2,83V.
Both drivers are practically congruent in the frequency response as of 1,5khz. There are no disturbances in the impedance path. In both drivers practically congruent. |

Wavecor TW022WA06 Sound pressure at angles (15 °, 30 °, 45 °, 60 °) |
Extremely uniform omnidirectional behavior thanks to the sound transmission. The combination of sound guide and dome is extremely well done.
Wavecor TW022WA06 Lingering behavior |
Even and very fast decay over all frequencies. No criticisms
Wavecor TW022WA06 harmonic distortion |
The harmonic distortion is sensational for such a small (22mm voice coil) calotte. K3 remains below 95% even at 0,15dB, starting at 1,3kHz.
K2 increases slowly below 3kHz, but still allows for a separation around 1,5kHz. Even with such a deep separation, the 1% mark would not be reached. Higher-order distortion components are completely negligible. If you aim for very low-distortion loudspeakers, it will separate at 2kHz. |

Hi Alexander,
Thank you for the test! (Even if it was a few years ago)
I am currently looking for a tweeter for my current project.
And the Wavecor actually looks perfect!
I just wonder why you can't find anything else about the tweeter. No kits and little information in the diy forums.
Does the tweeter have any rake?
Regards
Matthias
Hi thanks!
No ...
There is nothing wrong with this tweeter. It is excellent!
